Missions and Our Community
For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

The Town of Fabius was a surveyed military tract, settled in 1794. It was originally part of the Town of Pompey but formed as its own entity in 1798. The Skaneateles-Hamilton Turnpike was built in 1816 and the Syracuse and Binghamton Railroad opened in 1854. By 1868, Fabius led the state in dairy production and the town had two agricultural tool factories. Fabius was also known for its production of poultry and ginseng, and today collectors favor memorabilia from Rowley's Fancy Quality and the Og-Na label brand (circa 1920s). Fabius is home to Labrador Hollow State Unique Area (1978) and Highland Forest (1932).
Highland Forest is located off Rt 80, south of the Village of Fabius.
The Fabius Area Community Center houses the town and village offices. It is located on Rt 80 in a building that once housed the Fabius Free-Will Baptist Church (1869-1916) and the Fabius Grange (1916-1991). The Fabius Historical Society meets regularly at the Fabius Area Community Center with programs that feature local and regional historians.
Fabius-Pompey School District serves the Towns of Fabius and Pompey.
