Our Values

FCC Value Statements

Values are things we are committed to, there is no questioning, we all agree, they answer what is really important to us. If we don’t commit ourselves and our resources to them they are not really valued.
Our values are organized around four experiential efforts, foundational, upward, inward and outward.

Foundational:

We value:
Salvation: Our Relationship with Jesus Christ God’s Son – it is only through Him and His forgiveness of our sins, through faith with the help of the Holy Spirit, that we are considered in a right relationship with God and as such co-heirs with Him for all eternity.
Scripture: The Bible is God’s inspired and infallible Word.  It is the authority and guide in all matters of spiritual growth (faith and practice). Beneficial to meditate upon, study,  sharing and teaching (discipleship).
Communion: as symbolic of Christ’s sacrificial death, and that we participate in it regularly as Christians as He asked us to do.

Upward:

We value:
Love & Worship – it is our opportunity and privilege to gather together to express our love to God (Father, Son & Holy Spirit), feel His presence and hear from Him.

Outward:

We value:
People – We all are created in God’s image and He desires a relationship with everyone. Because of this we are compelled to be open, show respect, honesty, love and kindness to all those we encounter.
Baptism: as our outward confession to an inward change in our lives consisting of confession, conversion and sanctification.
Missions & Service – we are God’s hands and feet extended to our neighbors, our community and those around the globe in our commitment to the Great Commission.

Inward:

We value:
Church as Family – each congregant, including our children, are unique individuals and worth our effort to help each grow in our relationship with God and one another. (discipleship/sanctification).
